history
FIRETECH MANUFACTURING LTD was the vision of Stan Carter who in May of 1983 opened the company under the name “Fireflex Manufacturing”. The original business was radio frequency welding of collapsible water tanks and underwater lifting balloons. In 1988, sewn emergency medical, firefighting, and industrial products were added to the mix. Sewn products grew rapidly along side the traditional business until 1994 when the welding division and Fireflex name were sold. The name FIRETECH was born for a new company that was focused exclusively on textile sewn products.
In 2016, Stan Carter retired and sold his company to new leadership who were committed to growing his vision of designing and building “the best bags in the business”. Finally, in 2019, FIRETECH moved into our own brand new, purpose-built facility in Surrey. With the addition of new technologies and more production capability, FIRETECH is positioned to continue its innovative product developments that are benchmarks in the industries they supply.

In accordance with our Mission Statement, FIRETECH continues to work closely with our customers and distributors to both improve the things we currently make and design new products that address unique and difficult problems in their respective work environments. With a cumulative legacy of over 8,000 different products designed and manufactured over the years, FIRETECH has the experience and the talent to achieve continuing success.
